
April Carson received over 80 D1 letters and was being activley recruited by over 40 schoolsApril Carson, a 5-foot-10 wing-guard from Davie, Fla., has given her verbal commitment to UNC-Greensboro, according to her high school coach Jason Hively. The junior from Nova High School expects to provide some shooting and scoring punch from the wing for the Spartans two seasons from now.
Carson was also receiving interest from more than 40 Division I schools and liked UCLA, UNC Charlotte, Baylor, Wake Forest and Clemson as well. She played club ball for the South Florida Lady Jags program. She averaged 13 points, six rebounds, 4 assists and a steal per game this summer with her club team.
April Carson says "I am happy with my decision to commit early to UNC Greensboro. I am walking into and opportunity to compete for playing time. The Head Coach is ranked #12 overall for active coaches in the NCAA. They also have a 100% graduation rate.
